An announcement today from the National Rugby League (NRL) Headquarters has seen the eight Commissioners formally appointed as the governing body of the game. The ARL Commission will ensure that strategies are in place to ensure the long term viability of the competition.

Central Coast Bears Chairman Barry Glasgow and CEO Greg Florimo yesterday met with David Gallop at NRL headquarters, to seek reaffirmation that the game is on track for expansion by 2015. Both Barry and Greg were buoyed by the optimism of the NRL CEO, who remains adamant that expansion is an important step for the game and that the Central Coast Bears are well placed.
